Drexel’s College of Engineering celebrates National Engineers Week annually with activities scheduled through the week. This nationally recognized celebration raises public awareness of engineers’ indispensible contributions to all aspects of life.
Egg Drop:
Students, faculty and staff build a contraption to cushion an egg so it can survive a fall of 31 feet or more!
Engineering Career Fair:
CoE and Steinbright Career Development Services (SCDC) co-host a career fair specifically for our engineering students and alumni. Over 100 companies attend to recruit from our engineering talent.
Honors Day:
To celebrate our students’ accomplishments, CoE hosts an awards ceremony and reception where we honor those that exemplify outstanding academic achievement.
High School Day:
To spread the excitement of engineering, CoE reaches out to local high schools to invite them for a day of hands-on engineering activities. Over 200 high school students generally attend this interactive day.
Engineer of the Year:
As a capstone event, CoE selects an engineer who has exemplified excellence in his or her field, and names them Engineer of the Year. The Engineer of the Year shares their knowledge with the Drexel and local community and is honored at a Dinner and Awards Ceremony. See our past Engineers of the Year on the right, and visit our nomination form to recommend an outstanding engineer for our Engineer of the Year.
